Tear Council is a project headed by Matt Van Schie.
In 2010 Matt teamed up with Michael Di Francesco to write ‘Journey’, a single from his ‘Balmy Nights’ EP. This was the beginning of Tear Council, an outlet for Matt’s more emotional outpourings. Now the journey continues with ‘Anywhere’ and ‘My Car’, also co written by Michael.
Matt Van Schie is a founding member of Sydney band Van She. The last decade has seen Van She go from strength to strength, supporting the likes of Phoenix and Daft Punk, thrusting themselves upon a myriad of festivals, headlining their own tours and racking up an abundance of fans along the way.
More recently he’s pumped out songs with his disco loving buddy, UK producer Mighty Mouse, with their project Du Tonc. Despite having only a handful of releases, Du Tonc have clocked over two million plays on soundcloud and each single has bumped into the Hype Machine Top 10. Their debut single ‘Darkness’ features in the 2015 Entourage movie and soundtrack.
