Nino Brown is a DJ that needs no introduction. Forging a career through hardwork, showmanship and talent, Nino Brown has succeeded in areas many could only dream of. Regularly appearing at clubs around Australia, and South East Asia, Nino Brown brings hype and entertainment to any venue with his unique party rocking sets featuring exclusives from some of the world’s hottest entertainers. It’s this originality that has seen the DJ climb to the top of his game and share the stage with artists such as Jay-Z, Rihanna, T-Pain, Chris Brown, Nelly, Jason De Rulo, Pia Mia, T.I. Ne-Yo, Pitbull and Snoop, plus tour the country as the official DJ for one of Australia’s most popular artists Tim Omaji.
From the beginning of his career, Brown has been committed to becoming a great DJ both in playlist and technique. His commitment and determination to the art form saw him signed to Universal Music, where he created the Blazin Mixtape series which has gone on to become the biggest urban music compilation in the country, with sales in excess of half a million copies. His longstanding relationship with Universal Music saw Brown recently start a record label called Digital Dope Music, which is a platform for Nino to release new original music.
His popularity has led to a many fruitful opportunities including a successful collaboration with internationally renowned baseball cap label New Era, who released a limited edition Nino Brown branded cap, making him the first Australian DJ to do so. He also has successful relationships with Alize, G-Shock, Nike and X-Box, and in 2014 released his own Apple iphone Application, proving he is ready to explore new boundaries with his work.
It isn’t just the corporate world, however, that Nino Brown has earned respect from. International artists have also acknowledged the DJs hard work and talent, working with him on a number of exclusive projects. These include a successful Australian mixtape hosted by T-Pain, collaborations with, King Mez, IAMSU, Fatman Scoop and underground artist Joell Ortiz, plus regular drops and shoutouts from the worlds biggest artists, and even an official megamix with Sean Paul.
Recently making the foray into production under the moniker “Bodega Bullies”, Nino has successfully produced remixes for local acts including Justice Crew and Tim Omaji. Both singles reached the #1 spot on the Aria Chart. He has also started executive producing his own releases via Digital Dope Records including the single “Do To Me” featuring Dr Dre’s protégé King Mez and New Zealand’s Vince Harder, plus the brand new single set for release Feb 18 entitled “Status Ain’t Real” featuring IAMSU and Maribelle.
There isn’t a single urban DJ in Australia that can say they have participated on all levels of DJing at the level Nino Brown has. His work ethic, innovative concepts and original club shows have set a high standard for many to follow.
