The MET Brisbane presents EMBER (MOS) + BIKSLOW – Fri 30th August

The MET is pleased to announce the return of Ember, come and see why he’s often branded as one of Australia’s most talented djs. We are also so excited to have the dynamic local young producer/dj duo BIKSLOW co-headline for the first time at The MET.

Packing more of a punch than Rocky (and that’s the good Rocky’s 1, 2, 3 and maybe 4) while doing it with the smoothness and charisma of a young George Clooney; Ember doesn’t just rock the spot, he owns it. Held in the highest esteem by his peers and the masses, Ember is without question one of Australia’s most in demand party starters! Since his high-school years he has left jaw dropped fans stuck upon sweat drenched dance floors in his wake, clocking up discographic accolades that any mother would be proud of, and rival beat-smiths enviously green about the gills.

No longer Sydney’s hidden gem, Ember is national news – turning clubs on their heads in a weekly musical decathlon, clocking up air-miles and hotel room gratuity as he works his way around Australia’s most iconic party spots. Warming the faders, sharing stages and rocking riders with the likes of Snoop Dogg, Public Enemy, Missy Elliott, Kid Cudi, Justice, Calvin Harris, Armand Van Helden, Avicii, Groove Armada, Kaskade, Diplo, Steve Aoki, Martin Solveig, A-Trak, Boys Noize, Soulwax and Aeroplane, Ember holds his own across any stage. One of the few Australian DJ’s aboard the annual festival circuit, his stem bouncing sets have gyrated singlet tops and daisy-dukes at Stereosonic, Big Day Out, Shore Thing, Future Music Festival, Splendour In The Grass, Summafieldayze, Parklife, Field Day and Harbourlife.

Gifted with an unrivalled ability to keep kids dancing, shaking and clutched to the dance floor into the early hours of a morning, he keeps his ear to the ground and head out of the clouds – both on stage and off. Recently jumping into the studio to mix the July edition of Ministry of Sound Radio’s iconic compilation ‘On The Download’, and work his way through a handful of remixes and original productions, Ember’s journey into the production-o-sphere is blurring the lines and bridging the gap between any and all genres; you can see that this kid has definitely been eating his Weetbix. Having just hit the road with the national InTheMix 2012 Awards tour, and a national tour planned towards the end of the year, the summer of 2012/13 is shaping up as one of his biggest the yet.
