About AIMER

Aimer is an up and coming Brisbane based female bass artist. Aimer was first introduced to DJing in October 2014 by fellow resident DJs at TBC aka Bowler Bar. At first it was all ‘shits n gigs’ till within weeks (literally) she had progressed from learning to beat match to frequent sets at The Bowler Club. Months later she made her debut set at the Boundary Hotel in January 2015.

Aimer has such positive, chilled and deceptive vibes her killer beats and love for bass will throw you off your chair onto the dance floor. Watching every Ultra, TomorrowLand and any other set that would be live streamed Aimer would skip uni classes or put assignments and work on hold to watch a set over and over again clocking up frequent and expensive data bills… Being a festival goer, party goer and social butterfly, DJing was always a dream for Aimer as her passion for music was always a priority. Music was apart of Aimer from an early age as this young lass killed every trumpet class in primary and high school.

The branding ‘Aimer’ came from a dozen likes on Facebook and Instagram of a photo of an old american indian headpiece that was thrown at her on the shoulders of a boy at a festival. Since then she’s been rocking the headpiece and her own fancy ‘Pocahontas’ vibes from the early days of Stereosonic.

In Aimers personal view, music has a huge impact on every persons life. ‘Music is a way to express yourself. It keeps you company, it gives you a purpose, it matches your moods, it can create an amazing atmosphere, it is a source of stress relief, inspiration and expression. It wakes me up, gets me going, and is a way to add some more awesomeness to every day’.

If you find yourself catching this girl play, be prepared for a killer set as her smile, mood and personality will make you enjoy it almost as much as she does. She loves to express herself with the audience, kick on after and ensures she improves in every way possible to suit a crowd, venue or fans each time she plays.
